Question on which CAS Calculator

Sorry, I've tried to read other threads on the CAS but I used the TI-Inspire for a year but lost it, should I buy the same model or just go with the newest CAS? I wasn't really proficient at using the Inspire but worried that the newest version will be completely different

The grey one is better than the new one IMO as it has more buttons available. With the black one you have to use menus to access things like pi and infinity and iota (complex i), which is very inconvenietn. Also, i think the latest one doesn't even have buttons for sine cos tan, instead you use a strange "trig" button to access a trig function menu. Try to get a second hand old grey Ti Nspire if u can  :)

Ohhh I also misplaced this calc! I would recommend that you just buy a secondhand grey ti-Nspire. What calculator will your whole class be using? I would use the same one as them :) there's also a few people on the forum selling the ti-Nspire for like $70 :D

Buy the grey one again and buy it first-hand (the warranty is very important, these calcs can go down randomly).

I find the grey one far more accessible than its newer models and the touch-pad of the newer models does not work anywhere near as well as the click-pad :)

I like the grey model better, I hate the interface of the black one.

Probably because I'm just really used to it though.

If you can, try getting hold of
both the black and the grey CAS from
your friends, and just try some calculations
on it.

IMO, grey one is better since it's not as confusing
as the black one (too many buttons for me).

Buy one you that's most comfortable to you, so
try both of them before deciding.

Plus most of the guides on here for the TI-Nspire are for the grey version.

You may want to have a look at them (in my sig) :P

*shameless plug*

Although it may help, but I do prefer the grey one, I tried using a friends (which was the black version) and I go pretty frustrated with it pressing the wrong buttons.

Do you know where I can get a new one? Officeworks don't have them anymore....
