Scholarship q

Basically 2 questions:
1) If I accept an Excellence Scholarship, am I able to cancel that acceptance later on before accepting my first round offer? And if so, is there a specific process or payment I would have to make?
2) If I accept the scholarship for one department (engineering), will that hinder my chances of getting into med? Med is a higher preference (1st). Will the health faculty find out about my acceptance?

Thanks :)

When I spoke to the scholarship people at the Change of Pref expo, they recommended that I reject my science excellence scholarship if I wanted a chance at a Med scholarship. I'm not too sure how it works, but for me it was a safe bet because I'm definitely not going to do science at monash. However, if you are considering engineering, I'd say accept the scholarship. You may still have a chance at a med schol later, and it definitely won't hinder your chances of getting into MBBS (maybe just the possibility of a med scholarship, which is really hard to get anyway)
Also, if you accept the eng scholarship then get 1st round mbbs and accept, then they'll just offer the engineering scholarship to someone else, and you will do a med degree.
I won the GAT: 49/50/50.

Ah, thanks funky :) I was just hoping for MBBS, no chance of a med scholarship here :D

Thanks for that, didn't want it to hinder my med chances :)
