I wish I could wear shoes that made me look taller (I'm 160cm/5'2'').  :-\ High heels for men? :P

Anyway, I really liked the second pair of shoes you linked. I think they would look very elegant on someone's foot.

Heel lifts! All the Korean boy-band members are doing it! Or go all the way and get a pair of New Rocks or something. That'll boost your height a fair bit. You may also look like a douchebag, but that's just my opinion.

Anyway, I prefer the first pair, honestly. The second pair look like all the other...I dunno, 'bandage' wedges you see everywhere in black. But then I'm the kind of person who doesn't buy something based on the principle that 'someone else probably has the exact same thing!'

LMAO now I feel short. I get the sense that no matter what shoes I'll wear I'll still look short :(

Yeah I havent really looked any other places, except I went DFO Essendon on Boxing Day and Tony Bianco there had nothing that I wanted and neither did Forever New. But I shall have a look at other stores like Novo and Whittner as well.

OMG my friend wore these Tony Bianco black stilettos to formal and they were to die for! They were black shiny leather, closed toe, with a platform, thin metal heel, and they had like black thick elastic that goes around your ankle. Seriously, I was contemplating how to kill my friend the whole night.

Trust Sarkozy to do something like that though. Some guys are pretty insecure about their height in comparison to their women. My friend's boyfriend told her not to wear massive heels to his formal because then he'd look shorter. Since when does height define a relationship? They still looked cute anyway

Since when does height define anything other than a length?

I don't know, it just looks awkward in formal photos if your date is shorter than you. Maybe one day I'll overcome the patriarchal paradigm prescribed by society. I guess there's still that kind of stigma. People still expect that in a conventional relationship, the male is physically stronger and larger and able to protect the female, or something, I guess.

I want these for formal, but they're crazy high and my boyfriend isn't that much taller than me. And I like to think I subvert the patriarchal paradigm enough by making him make me sandwiches, so maybe I shouldn't undermine him by getting those for formal. >.>

i don't usually go for wedges, I prefer kitten heels. I'm only 160 cm but I like my height lol. These wedges are the only ones I have come to like over time http://shop.cottonon.com/shop/product/milla-wedge/

Yeah I didnt think I'd like wedges, but desperate time call for desperate measures. Nah, I'm not that desperate to look taller, but I wouldnt mind looking taller. And I'm going for wedges more out of comfort than looks because I've realised its impractical and almost impossible (unless you miraculously appear on Sex and the City in Jimmy Choo's) to run in pumps and be proactive. I'm pretty psycho. I need some comfy shoes. Most parties I go to, my shoes are off about an hour after I walk in LOL

Anywho, I want to see some nice shoes peeps! Show me what you like!

Since when does height define a relationship?

Practicality of sex? (Sorry, it had to be said)

People match me up with others by my short height. <_<

I love shoes! There are so many shoes that I want, yet I know that they probably wouldn't get much wear. Would it be too much to wear heels to uni? :/

Regarding the Lipstik Darva in the first post, I saw them at the Windsor Smith store at Chadstone for $47.90 yesterday! I was thinking about getting them.. but I didn't.

I think it depends what type of heels. Most wedges you can get away with. Booted heels I reakon are more accepted casually too. Oh and I guess it depends on your outfit.

Oh man, Chaddy. LOL I went to school like 5 mins away from Chaddy for 2 years and I only went to Chadstone once. I need to check there too.

I also like these:

Why are they called bibi tan?

edit: I get ads of shoe websites as the ads on the top of the page LOL

I have a pair of Lipstik wedges, they're not up on that website though :S but I saw them at Windsor Smith when I went to DFO South Wharf with my friends last week. They're ridiculously comfy. Here is a photo of the shoes with my dog, who is sleeping: http://imgur.com/sRUTi

I think I'll have to play it safe at the start of uni and observe what everyone else is wearing just to see what kind of shoes are acceptable. :P I want these wedges. Man, if I wasn't such a stingy asian...

On the other hand, I did find these suede booties for $10 at Joanne Mercer the other day!

OOOOOHH I like both. If I saw you at uni wearing either one of those shoes, I for one would be like, 'daayuum, girls got shoes!'LOL
I reakon you could pull off both pairs easily :)
