Your opinion on Bollywood

@nisha: would you know this indian movie..I don't know its name but I can explain the plot (sort of lol).

So it begins with this guy in NY city(i think) and there's this rumor going around that there is a guy who kidnaps children..and he wears a cape or something like that. Then this indian guy is running and he is holding a child and another indian girl sees this and think that he's kidnapping the kid so runs after him and blah blah. They end up in hospital after a small accident and yeah.

That girl ends up being a sad bride, she doesn't really want to get married and he sees that she's not so into the guy. I think her hub is his friend or they know each other..in the end they both love each other but are both married. They part their own ways at the end and do their own thing....till they reunite and eventually hook up


I really can't remember much of what happened but i do remember that it was a great movie..

can someone tell me what its called?

Although, on the topic of Bollywood, I go to this little Indian place for lunch sometimes (actually going this Thursday!) and they play some Indian films on the TV. I was eating some really nice curry and I looked up at the TV expecting to see some girls in sarees, but there was this rather buff Indian chap stretched out showing off his very well-defined chest pelt.

I spat rice everywhere.

I 100% agree with you. Although, Abhishekh Bachan got in, because of his father, and Esha Deol because of her mother. In most cases its a family heritage thing, if you look at Hrithik's father, was also an actor and director, and so was Kareena's Dad. However many of them drop out because IT DAWNS ON THEM that they suck at acting ....(Esha Deol- Have you seen her in 'Na tum Jaano Na Hum'? I practically switched it off after 15 mins, and Karishma Kapoor even though she is so pretty ....she's only done like 3 movies, the best of which I can think of is Dil To Pagal Hai.).

Rani, on the other hand, did not get selected because of her looks, but because she could dance and act pretty well. Surprising huh? It adds the the fact that she is gorgeous.

Priyanka Chopra, yea she is hot. But as I said before, cant act....see Aitraaz, and then you will believe me. Personally, the prettiest girls, would have to be Preity Zinta, Kareena Kapoor (not the skinny stick she has become), Madhuri Dixit, Ashwariya Rai and I quite like Deepika Pandukone (sp?).
Isn't being pretty like the first criteria in most international films? I've seen Korean dramas, that have some pretty skinny, but pretty chicks.

Apparently Dhoom 3 is coming out.....with Aamir as the villian. sounds good:)

What did you guys think of Don 2?
It appeals to the bloke side of me that is satisfied by seeing him kill 200 dudes unassisted, but the plot is a bit iffy. Also random inclusion of just the one song was sooo out of place.

Plot was harder to understand than Don 1, for sure. I liked Don 2, and the twist at the end was really good, but i wish they went for a plot that was a bit more intense. Don 1 (by SRK) was much better imo.

You really need to get your facts right :p
karisma kapoor was a MUCH better actor than kareena imo anyways,  you just have to see her 60 odd movies to realise. e.g. coolie no1, hero no 1, haseena maan jayegi, dil toh pagal hai, fiza, shakti, raja hindustani.. etc etc.

and btw,

Rani mukherjee is also the cousin of kajol, daughter of a film director and playback singer.

I reckon anushka sharma is pretty as love her !

and regarding don, i still like amitabh's don better than srks don, but don the chase continues had to be changed in order to make don 2, so meh,, don 2 was really good. thumbs up to farhan..

my favourite MODERN day actress' would have to be: Anuskha, deepika, sonam , rani and last but not least!!!! - genelia!!

Yer all of his movies were becoming hits,  dabaang was okay but not worth the hype it caused,  caused bodyguard was a disaster..!  I wish he came up with some,  hum saath saath hai or andaz apna apna style movie.  Apparently he's coming in a movie as prem again so woo!
