My friend linked me to these SWISSE ULTIBOOST EXECUTIVE FOCUS tablets, and to me, they seem like a bit of good ol' bs.
Have any of you guys tried taking something like this/has it worked?

Looks like it's meant to be a pre-workout supp but I don't see any ingredients in there like caffeine, 1, 3 dimethylamylamine, beta alanine or creatine. So if probably won't do that much for you.

If you are in the market for a pre-workout supplement then I would recommend trying jack3d, 1MR or mesomorph (that's just to name some of the most popular ones out of a whole range.)

Those do work, but I wouldn't recommend them during VCE because they can screw with your body heaps. It really depends on the person, one of my friends says it works great and they get great focus, energy and pump. But another couldn't get to sleep and also his stomach couldn't handle it either.
If your are going to use a pre-workout supp, cycle it, because your body will get used to the caffeine and other ingredients. Also you should give your body a rest from that kind of stuff :P

I personally don't think a sugar free energy drink (Monster is probably best for content) is much worse for you than things like Jack3d. They'd probably actually help you lose weight and increase focus.

I've taken Jack3d before, and it's freaking scary how much it does :/ I don't think I'll be using it though.
Also, this is for my life in general, not pre-workout etc. I'm talking about studying at school and such. Maybe I posted this in the wrong section :/

If they were both just as bad I'd rather take a real pre-workout :P You sure about that though? I thought jack3d would be much more intense.

Ohhhh right, I just assumed it was for a pre-workout, sorry :P that seems to be the central topic in the fitness board.
Having a healthy diet in general + regular exercise will definitely help you.

I know a lot of teens in the USA use adderall, a prescription drug for people with ADHD, to help them focus with study. It's a stimulant, not too sure about effects and such, haven't really researched it

I would stay away from Jack3d, Mesomorph and especially 1MR. The crash is crazy, I've found, with the aforementioned supplements. I much prefer 'Presurge Unleashed'. Best pre-workout I've ever had.

Yeah eventually your body needs them, you get to the point where unless you take the supplement you can't workout properly. That's why I stay away from them

Well after a while your body becomes used to it anyway so similar to illicit drugs, you'll need more and more as time progresses to get that euphoric experience you got the first time you used it. That's why there's always directions on the packages outlining how long you should use the supplement for and then how long to refrain from using it. I generally use it for two weeks and stop for a week.

Nah I meant using a carb free energy drink would probably be 'healthier' than taking Jack3d. There's plenty of stuff in those drinks that do cause metabolic and mental boost. The kick wouldn't be as heavy as those in pre-workouts with 1-3 dimethylamylamine, but nor are the risk of OD anywhere near as bad.

I'm sure you can OD off  1-3 dimethylamylamine, it's been banned from a lot of places I think. And someone linked an article where two US soldiers died from taking it.

Consuming lethal amounts of DMAA would probably taste pretty bad. I've taken like the recommended amount (and more with no apparent detriments) and it made the coffee taste like arse. DMAA is just banned from sports I think.

It's really not that hard to quantify..., but I believe that being raped once is not as bad as being raped five times, even if the one rape was by a gang of people.
