Medentry 1st prac exam... is this normal??? what did u get???

OK so i've just finished my first medentry prac exam, and I'm pretty much freeeking out here...
Is it normal to get: (and still get into med by the time u've finished practising)
S1: 29/44 - 73%
S2: 31/40 - 88%
S3: 19/38 - 69%

How did u guys go??

hey, you've finished umat already, yeah? how did u go on ur 1st one, and last 1, and then ur actual umat score??
coz i've noticed that many people have varying opinions on medentry's percentiles...

I honestly don't remember how I went, although I was really lazy in my UMAT prep and only did a few (maybe 4 or 5?). S1 was always terrible for me, I think I got 90-something once for S2 as my highest, and a similar high (or maybe high 80s) for S3.

I got 0-20th percentile multiple times for S2 and S3 medentry exams (though not the first one) so don't be disheartened by scores which seem below what you're aiming for.

Be aware that the percentiles are strongly skewed at this time of the year when the sample size is so low. Starting early means that not many people have even done MedEntry, so you'll see some pretty bizarre percentages. Furthermore, those who have started now would generally be more capable and keen I would think. Hence, your scores will be quite low to begin with. Just give it time and those numbers will gradually go up I assume. But yeh, as others have said, those numbers aren't bad for a first shot despite all the above.

I just tried one prac exam after completing one type of each drill,
I got Sec 1 28/44 (65percentile), Sec 2 24/40 (0~20 percentile), Sec 3 18/38 (62 percentile)
I thought the raw marks of my section 2 was ok? since i was bad at it but after seeing my percenile.....GG
Haven't tried Eureka and stuff... hope it helps...

With S2, you can't really judge how your going actually, its a lot of luck in most cases! That's the general consensus I think.

Dw - i was doing shithouse in med entry i was getting like consistently <20 for section 2 and my best in section 2 was like 60. In the real UMAT i managed to cook up a 51 in section 2 - 65th percentile.

Section 3 i was also crap at, I was getting like 40th percentile, my absolute best was like 80th. In the real UMAT, cooked up 74 - 95th percentile for Section 3.

Just wondering, if u dont wanna answer it dont worry and sorry to pry, but did u get first round interview at monash? coz i guess it's interesting to see how much u need to get...
