Cannot register Monash account with VTAC ID?

Hey guys, I got my offer of Comm/Law but I can't seem to register for a monash account (one of the first steps of accepting the offer/enrolling).. I put my VTAC ID in, many times and it comes up with an error message.

I have never opened any form of account with Monash, nor have I previously registered anything with my VTAC ID or name. I'm pretty sure my VTAC id is right as well; checked it with multiple sources. Anyone else having this issue?

ERROR: You have entered an invalid identification number or your details have not yet been added to our database (try again in 2 hours time). Alternatively, the number is wrong or you may have already registered, in which case you cannot register again.

Only use this page if you are registering for your Monash computer account for the first time, ie if you are a prospective student at Monash with a letter of offer, or a new student at Monash who has just enrolled, or a current student who has not yet obtained your computer account.

If you are using a VTAC number, please ensure that you include the letter as part of the number.

To get your username, type your Monash ID or VTAC ID or 'K' or Open Universities Australia Student ID number:"

It's a common error at the moment.
Basically they have a lot of people to transfer onto their databases. So it'll tak esome time.
