Just wondering, how is your 'average' score calculated at the end of a semester/year?

Are we compared to others in the course/subject like VCE or is it based like the usual  7-10 grading, 80/100 = 80%

Just a bit confused, thanks!

Well depends on your subject.

They're broken up into assignments, mid-semester tests, essays, exams etc.
Each would be worth some percentage and then added towards your final score.

Sometimes the examiners look at scores for mistakes and scaling.
