Hey, before I submit, I just want to check:
- does this fit the design brief accurately?
- what does everyone think of it?
- if you don't like it, what should I do to improve it?

Here's a screenshot: http://i.imgur.com/JTqgz.jpg
The colour (here, cyan) is changeable, ie. I've made it so the series can be colour-coded by subject :D (No-one steal my idea)
and I tried to go with "simple, but eye-catching"

I'm no graphic designer so ummm... yeah.

EDIT: Also, that screenshot makes the fade from colour to white look dodgy. It's a lot smoother on the actual thing.
The gradient is annoying me. Change the colour.
Mech- It's pretty, but IMO the orange curve is taking up too much of the front cover.  The text also looks slightly pixelated. :u

I do not think it is pixelation, but me forgetting to set the fonts to crisp. And the orange is taking up a bit, but I guess that is personal preference. :) Cheers for the suggestions! Might churn something else out when I can be bothered; go so much uni and financial shit to work out at the moment.

http://i.imgur.com/hlBJM.jpg This better, Destiny? The idea is that it'll be a different colour for each subject, so whatever colours work *shrug*. I probably should've picked a less blinding blue though, lol.

I really don't like the 'Chemistry' font styling and the 'VCE unit 3&4 exam preparation guide' font - perhaps you could try the font that you used in the blackboard? I think it'll look more professional. The back cover is nicely done though, I'm digging it :P

The spine looks squashed, the emblem (or w/e) in particular. Also to the left of "VCE" on the front cover you'll notice you have made a mistake when it goes white -> blue. In my personal opinion, I don't really like the font you have used for "Chemistry" (front cover), but that's just me...

I like the back a lot as well as the use of a blackboard, though. It looks really nice (y)

threw something together. adobe was being pissy and text wasn't working properly, also the fonts are wrong. i used arrows instead of filler text. you get the idea.

Amidst some sad developments about vote rigging (seriously guys what the fuck, first referal comp now this? are you all really THAT desperate for a few hundred bucks that you'd rig a competition? get a grip)

I'm adding in the clause

"The AN administration reserves the right to choose the next runner up if it deems the voting pattern for the winner suspicious"

I must add that this will be entirely a last resort, and this will NOT mean that I am going to pick the winner, it is merely a defense against possible vote-rigging that may occur. And so help me, if any of you try to rig the votes, you'll be banned for a long time.

Vote-rigging means colluding with others to gain an unfair advantage over others. Already we have seen one person attempt to exchange part of the prize with another user in exchange for such an advantage. I will not provide details of what occurred for fear of a repeat. It also means registering multiple accounts to vote on the forum (we will be checking IPs, and rejecting proxies).

Please note this does not mean you're not allowed to ask people to vote for you. You're more than welcome to post on your facebooks for your friends to fb vote for you, or sign up for an AN account and vote for you here. That's all part of the competition.

When you begin to disadvantage others, that is cheating, and you will be disqualified and banned for it.
