Just wondering, would books vary that much, the blending of one exam, at the end of year, will that most likely lead to the redundancy of parts of the science course?
Just would be good to know, as I have a mate, who would be interested in buying my stuff, tsfx wise in the next year, and sorta in a way, just asking for him. =P

Page 3.

You can assume from that the courses will stay the same for the most part - it's still the same study design, with a few changes made. The amended study designs will be published on the VCAA website soon (but won't be implemented until 2013).

Quote
A number of minor amendments to the study designs for Accounting, Biology, Chemistry, Environmental Science, Physics and Psychology will be made to accommodate the consequent changes to the assessment structures of these studies
...
The February 2012 VCAA Bulletin VCE, VCAL and VET will advise schools of the availability of the amended study designs
and will provide details of the briefings

They will "cut the crap" :)

Having said that, they still have to keep the VCE physics course, so they aren't cutting all of it :P

Thanks Rohitpi,
Thats what I meant, parts of the course will be cut, which means that most of the tsfx books, will be not as accurate for exam prep, so I might as well, not sell it to them at the price I was going to,a nd just chuck it in with other stuff at a lower price...
wenhao thanks for the input, I am aware the maths subjects are going to be the same, good thing about maths, they nearly never change, unless tech tells them other wise. =D

No worries and I presume all the pre 2012 tsfx notes are still able to use. It doesn't really affect students with the pre 2012 notes though cos they're cutting topics out,not cutting and adding new stuff in.If that's it, then it's a new study design. So just aware of the topics that have been taken out so you don't go read/memorize all the stuff in the pre2012 notes.

Just wait until VCAA releases their amended study designs and decide how appropriate it will be to use the notes then. In the link that I posted above, they said it would be out sometime during Term 1.

The proposed amended study designs are here: http://www.vcaa.vic.edu.au/vce/vceconsult/vceamend.html
They have summary of changes as well.

Interesting note here:

Please note: A summary of proposed amendments is not provided for VCE Accounting and Physics as the curriculum for these studies is unchanged.
