Managing time?

Sorry if this has been asked before.
I get home around 5pm everyday, and I already feel that I don't have a lot of time. I mean, I have enough time to complete my work, but to do extra study, I need to sacrifice some of my free time. (Which I guess can be done, considering how often I'm online...)
Anyway I'm aware a lot of people have it a lot harder than me and are still able to do considerably well.
Any tips on time management and balancing everything throughout these 2 years, or examples of "timetables" you have set for yourself?
How often a week do you go out/exercise/study etc?
I want to get a damn good score (check sig) but still enjoy my life, and I know people have done it before. But how D:
Thanks in advance :)

I am pretty sure I am the captain of time management. Here are some tips:

1. Make a study plan, and stick to it. (message me)
2. Keep a record of how much you are studying and how much you are getting done (sort of a ratio)
3. Make lists (if you have an iPhone there are so many great apps. I used to make lists of what I needed to do on the bus on the way home from school and then I was prepared and ready to go)
4. Routine is key (if you are going to the gym for instance try and go at a regular time each week so you can fit your study around it. Last year I was training 3 nights a week 5pm-8.30pm and then a 1 hour drive home. I know how difficult it is to fit in time but you must be prepared)
5. Deal with adversity (vce and life is general is going to test you, when things get thrown at you unexpectedly you need to learn to deal with it, such as having several SACs on one day, put your head down and work even harder. 'tough times never last, but tough people do' was a poster I had on my wall.)
6. Have fun! it is so so important to have a social life during VCE. Year 12 especially is a massive year of your life, embrace the social occasions and have fun, it makes the homework and study bearable.

Peace out
