Yeah it's next week. It's quick that we have another one already. At least you have time.

How would you approach studying for bio sacs? I feel like the technique I had did not work.

Wow, have you studied chapter 3 already? I didn't know that some school are having sac 2 after the first sac that quick..
Ohh yeah do you have a tutor?

The way I study Bio is read a few pages ahead before the teacher teaches the topics so I know what's on top of my head, and while the teacher talks(my teacher talks damn a lot which bored me easily), I just down some notes quickly and rewrite it during recess..At home, I just summarise the Nelson book, NoB, Biozone, A+ together so my summaries contain more than what the textbook tells and read the textbook a few more times over the following week, and do the NoB quick check questions and some useful review questions because I found it to be really useful. If I think that myself is alright to do some questions, then I will do the ones from checkpoints, A+ and possibly some chapter test exam paper... after this you will find that you have consolidate your knowledge and you wont forget it easily! and remember that you always have to read through  the key terms/definitions again and again...I always memorize them because I can't really understand them.. BUT MAKE SURE UNDERSTAND YOUR WORK AND WHAT YOU'RE DOING.

Thanks for the advice on study tips mate. I'll try that from now on.

No, we actually haven't started chapter 3 which bemuses me somewhat. The teacher says we will cover it this week, but she barely covered the content for the first sac.

We are still covering chapter 2 but going really fast unfortunately.

No worries, we are in the same boat.haha :) .happy to contribute any good ways to study bio because my friend did this before and he said it's very useful... Ohh that's what amuses me now, if you're having a sac next week based on chapter 3(most likely more on enzymes), then why you hvn't even start that..well, it seems that your teacher is not doing very well, chapter 2 has to be taught before the first sac so the students know the contents...you might need to get help from other bio teacher from your school..I guess chapter 3 takes like 3 weeks to complete given that I got 5 periods of bio a week only(3hrs45mins)

I know and that's why having it next week is outrageous, but I'll cope with it somehow.

Yeah there's only one more bio teacher in our school, but he's not teaching it this year because he is going on leave in 3rd term, but he had been teaching 3/4 bio for at least the past 10 years. He was very good. I had him in other year levels for general science.

Ohh that's unfortunate..I also have a teacher who stand in front of me and kept talking..he barely wrote any notes on the board so that's why I have to scribble down the stuff he's talking in a fast pace..I guess I have to bring a recorder next time!! Hey just pm me if you want any resources to prepare for you next sac because I hope that you will do very well for the next sac :)

Yea it seems that you can cope with your subjects because it's not overwhelming..Good luck on your next week outrageous sac

Sure, what you need is to apply an efficient study technique..if you think that the study technique doesn't work for you, you have to change it to make sure it really works for you.
Haha of course, you're welcome :D

Does anyone have good practice enzyme sac questions that they can send to me?
