LOTS OF BASIC UNIVERSITY QUESTIONS

Which classes are the most fundamental? I have sooo many classes that overlap I don't even know what I should go too.

Which classes are exams/qizzes/things that count towards GPA done in?

Which classes can be effectively skipped if you do enough self study?

Where are you meant to buy disecting kits? Do I just buy one online or something?

I dont know alot because I was overseas for weeks until like a couple of days ago and I even missed orentation day so im really lost and stuff.

You shouldn't pick subjects that overlap.
You will be told what is assessable, typically during the first lecture or on the online resources (e.g. LMS, Blackboard).
If you do enough good self study, anything can be skipped. But it's never advisable (lots of things that happen to be in exams have a habit of only being mentioned in lectures).
You will be told where you can buy it, typically from the university or faculty store.

Maybe post your timetable here so people can have a better look at it? - perhaps you've repeated a few tutes or labs or something

are you sure that's your timetable? it looks like every class for every subject is listed here
2010 - 2013: Bachelor of Software Engineering - Monash (completed w/ alternative exit to B. Comp Sci)
2014 - 2016: Master of Laws (Juris Doctor) - Monash

Pretty sure you only need to attend one class of each type each week... e.g. one bio practice, one chem? lab class, etc

yeah, what nina said.

on your 10am tuesday slot, you seem to have both a lecture and a prac for the same MAT1DM subject in two different places. the same thing for BIO10F.
Since you can't physically be in two places at once, it makes sense that the times are optional.

At my uni they list all the possible lectures/pracs/tutes etc for  each subject, and you pick one of each and put that into your timetable.
So there might be 3 lectures during the week for MAT1DM, each with the same content, and you might only have to rock up to one of them.

in the example pic, you can see there are loads of tutes, but you only have to go to 1.
maybe this is the case with your timetable? better check with your faculty/school ASAP eh?

Or anything else that's based in the university.
