If you guys have a spare 30 minutes, I highly recommend watching this video,
http://vimeo.com/37119711
It is about stopping Joseph Kony, a person who has abducted and forced over 60,000 children to join his army in Uganda.
You may have heard of 'Children of War', kids that are forced to pick up a gun, kill their own parents and forced to do terrible things against their will, well this is the guy that runs it all. This project is about stopping him as soon as possible and raising awareness. So please watch :)

Does anyone know where we can access that list they had for the ICC? Interested to find out more.

^^I think that's the point of the video, to raise awareness. I (for one), had no idea who this guy was until I saw the link on facebook today :(

I suppose. The only reason I probably new about him was back in year 9 . In one of my classes we watched 'The Invisible Children'. I just assumed people already knew about it.

ICC= International Cricket Council?

You always have to work cricket into everything don't you veg...

Anyway, lol at all the memes popping up around UoM pro-Kony. The socialist retards are just being different for the sake of it.

I don't see how people knowing about Kony is going to do much, like one meme puts it:

I don't really see the relevance of KONY 2012.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=k1FKS1SHSsc

This video explains why (in my opinion).

Look don't neg me for making a relevant point but I feel this is being brought up far to late. It was a much bigger issue earlier last decade, and the point that invisible children are bringing this up now seems suspicious to me. To me, 'charities' don't always fully go towards supporting children in third world counties and you really need to do your research before you actually donate.

Saying that, it's all good that awareness has been brought to the topic, but way too late.
‎"We divert our attention from disease and death as much as we can; and the slaughter-houses and indecencies without end on which our life is founded are huddled out of sight and never mentioned, so that the world we recognize officially in literature and in society is a poetic fiction far handsomer and cleaner and better than the world that really is."
- William James.

I agree and disagree.

If this was something people felt strongly about and upon hearing were compelled to act other than just re-tweet etc it would be helping. But the truth is, no-one really cares, no-one gives a crap to the extent where they will sacrifice something little for them.
