word limit fkn

Ive got an assesment due on Thursday, an 'annotated bibliography'. Whatever that is.

and the word limit is 100 words for each source, I just finished 'annotating' my first source and have 170 words, and really struggling to chop it down. Is 70 words over too much, will they stop reading after like 110-120?

They'll continue to read the whole piece and deduct marks for each 100 words, or part thereof, over the word limit (above the additional 10%).

I've got three assessments due on the same day, one of them being the annotated bibliography, and had trouble staying under the word limit for all three. Just remember that you DO have a 10% extension for word count. My tutor allowed us to exclude the actual bibliographic entries (author, title of article, year) from our word count which really helped so perhaps you could ask your tutor for the same exclusion.

Im pretty sure we already had that exclusion, and I'm confused is it 100 words per description or 200 because the criteria in the handbook doesnt really make sense.

The annotated bibliography should use MLA style and be broken up into two sections:

1. A title and brief description of the case you have selected (approximately 50
words)

2. Bibliographical details (i.e. author, title and publication details) and descriptions
(i.e. annotations) of 3 items (approximately 200 words in total). The items
selected must include 2 of the following:
 one peer-reviewed academic article (what is this? more information

 one book or book-chapters
 one newspaper article.

The 50 word description makes sense, but does the annotation part mean 200 words per annotation, or does it mean that the 3 annotations should be 200 words in total.

Get help from the UoM library! They must have librarians who are able to help you slash that word count.

Do I need to include all this stuff? Can i get rid of things like its use towards my research?

This is amusing to read because I'm doing the exact same assignment. Tutor said the most important factor was to pick out the most important factors of the article. I practically left out WHY this article has helped me so I don't think I'm going to do so well...
