Ok guys, so as many of us in Biomed/Science at Melbourne are planning on doing GAMSATUK in our first year. Some of us have noticed that according to ACER:
'Gamsat can be undertaken in either your penultimate or ultimate year of study'.
However, according to stonecold and a few others, one cannot clearly define when their final year of study will be. Personally, I think this wouldn't hold up if you were caught and the penalty may be exclusion from all future GAMSATs and your score revoked. So I think it's pretty important for those of us sitting it to determine whether we legally can or cannot.
Now, I'm not making this thread because I enjoy stating the obvious. Here's my look on things, officially in the GAMSAT UK booklet it states:
"GAMSAT is appropriate for any student who
has completed an undergraduate honours degree
or who will be in the penultimate or final year of
study for an honours degree at the time of sitting
the test, or, in the case of applicants to Peninsula
Medical School, who believes he/she has achieved
an appropriate level of intellectual maturity and
subject knowledge to meet the demands of the test.
GAMSAT is designed to assess the capacity to
undertake high level intellectual studies in a medical
or dental course. It is offered once a year only."

Can anyone else weigh in on this so we can accurately determine whether we can or can't do this?
Especially anyone studying law (looks at Nina) who is probably more familiar with interpreting words etc etc. Is the term 'appropriate' steadfast even?
Let's go team AN!
