Would I loose marks for the use of intentional informal language in, say for a speech?
I'm writing up a speech for my 2nd English SAC i.e. a persuasive piece and my speaker is not an intellectual person so, I was wondering whether my use of informal language would affect my score or not.

I don't think it will, because you have to 'stick to character' when writing a Point of View piece, don't you? Besides, you are using informal language as a way to persuade, so chances are that you won't be marked down. Also, do you have to write a statement of intention? If you do, all you need to do is clarify the reason why you've used informal language :)

Oh okay, thanks for the clarification. Yes, we would have to do a justification once we finish out pieces.
