SAC 1 Result: 85% am i fucked?? lol

So yeah i got back my SAC and looked through it and calculated that i lost 5 marks (test was out of 33).
I only got 85% . I really want to get a raw SS score of 40+. 
Is that still possible for me? How much better would I have to do.

What raw SS would all A's during the year, guarantee me (roughly)?
Hate doing careless mistakes .. lol.

No youre not screwed. Just get A+s for the rest of your sacs. Raw sac marks dont matter, ranking does.

Swarley is 100% correct.

You could get 99% on every SAC but if everyone else in your cohort gets 100% on every SAC, you're screwed.

On the other hand, you could get 70% on every SAC but if everyone else gets 65% or below, for example, you're killing it.

Disregard marks attained or lost. Look at where you're ranked in your cohort in terms of marks lost.

It's not low.

A's in the exams and SACs will get you ~37 raw.

Mate, 85% doesnt mean you will get a A moderated. It's your rank. You're moderated grade for Sacs will be relative to how your cohort performs in exams.

Your actual mark doesn't matter. What matters is if heaps of people got a higher mark than you on the SAC.

Well that really just depends on the difficulty of the paper you're undertaking. If everyone is scoring 100% then yeah, maybe it is low. Alternatively, if everyone else scored below that I don't think you should be considering it low.

Alos, I can tell you right now that this attitude will deteriorate pretty quickly when you go to uni

My cohort is weak lol, I would say the average for that sac is a C or a B. One guy (my friend) got 100% on the test though.
I soo coulda gotten 90+% (very cliche I admit, but I MEAN IT!!!!!!! lol fucking careless brain).

Dude, I got a 47 in further last year and the lowest mark I got all year was an 80%. SAC marks mean nothing, as long as you rank well within your cohort and ace the exams.

Your score doesn't matter, your rank does. /End thread.

With that said, whenever I see a thread which is like "I got 80% am I fucked... I got 85% am I fucked... I got 90% am I fucked..." and so on, it honestly feels like the thread maker just wants to get an ego boost. If you have a shred of common sense you will know that an 85% at Mount Waverley Secondary College (a relatively good public school) on ONE SAC will not take you out of the competition for a 40+... in fact the likelihood is that a score like that places you well on track for that goal. The casual "Cus it's low lol" only seems to try and bring your ego up some more. Maybe I've seen to many threads like these this year which has somehow made me a more evil/intolerant person, but seriously, anybody reading this and contemplating asking "I GOT 90% AM I GONNA GET A STUDY SCORE OF 20 LAWL"... please don't.
