I've recently got permission to jump into accounting mid year, and i was wondering just how much of unit 1 do you need for unit 2?

I'm walking in there blind atm >.<

Well pretty much Unit 1 is the foundation for all the units.. So you are a little behind but I remember in my year there were a few kids who jumped in mid-year and did fine.

Oh ok, how deep do i have to learn unit 1?

The study design is new and i can't seem to find any detailed outlines of what we have to learn...

definitions of assets, liabilities, owners equity, expenses, revenues
GST
cash purchases and cash payments
Balance sheet
Income statement
