Do we have to use a pen for short answer questions with the commencement of online assessments or can we use a pacer.

You *can* use pacer but i would personally advise against it. For me its not worth the risk that the writing may be too feint to read.
But if graphs come up ( colorimetry etc.) i would definitely use a pencil, and maybe for stoich etc, but ideally id aim to complete most of it in pen

Why do people keep asking this question when the Exam clearly says "Write using black or blue pen" - seriously, just use black or blue pen

Nah it's fair enough. People are used to writing and rubbing out.

You can use pencil, yes, but there is a chance that after scanning it won't come out right - so it's risky. So use pen. :)

Paul's right, if it says pen and you care about your score, use pen.

Yep, the truth is, if you use pencil and something goes wrong, you can't really defend yourself when it clearly says to use pen.

Use a friction pen guys. All problems are solved.

There's a lot of controversy on some threads about friction pens :P

What happens if you use up all the space provided and you realise you have done something wrong?

Like El2012 said, a lot of controversy on friction pens

Like I always say, just stick to black or blue pen please, just a standard ball tip pen or a gel ink pen, whichever you prefer

You will not use up all the space, that's why when you do calculation questions left align them rather than centre align, so that if you do something wrong, you can do it again on the right

Explain questions, write small, so you can cross out and write directly above.
