last years was 86, really don't expect it to be anywhere near that
higher or lower?

i highly doubt the cutoff wil be 87/90 or above...

last years cut off was 78/90 not 86/90?? 156-180 netted a+
eep my bad, i was referring to the 09 exam

Was the exam actually hard or are people on ATAR notes just really nerdy enough to call it easy?

It's hard to tell. Structures and Materials was really easy, but there were a LOT of explanation questions which could have caused it to be quite hard for people who weren't strong in that aspect of Physics. I found it quite okay myself, but it was harder than '09 (which was ridiculously easy), but I'm not really sure how I could compare it to other years.

Though I'm hoping the rest of the state found it really hard. ;)

all that time i spent perfecting S&M like complex angular torque Qs, multiple scenarieos for different placements of supports (compression and tension) didn't help at al :'(

i'm confused, here i have people who said the exam was easy, like easier than 09 and the others, its was hard and time-consuming,
2011: Methods [40]  Chemistry [34]
2012: Global Politics [44] Specialist Maths [33] Physics [35] English [38]
ATAR: 97.10

2013-2015: Bachelor of Biomedicine (Neuroscience)  UoM
2017-2020: Doctor of Optometry UoM

My guess is that the cut off will be higher than usual, but I'd be surprised if it's as high as 2009. The motion questions and electronics questions were, on the whole, very straightforward, but there were a few explanations, and the detailed studies questions (aside from structures) were not too hard, but not too easy.

it probably wont be as high as 2009, but i think somewhere around 85,
the exam wasnt difficult it just had so many explanations, so its hard to gauge how hard they will mark them because its not like any recent vcaa physics exam.

I know right? I was prepared for the hardest questions instead of the basic theory questions and it cost me...Damn those itute questions!

For me the calculation+multiple choice question on the vcaa exams are really easy(compared to some on the neap papers) and i guess everybody answerd them quite well. However compared the the exams from the last years i think the worded answer questions were quite hard. Especially the momentum question, i found the answer in the last 5 minutes.
I would say A+ will be 83/84%.

I highly doubt the A+ cut-off will be around 75/90. It wasn't that hard. Perhaps you mean 84/90?
