Out of 75
« on: June 13, 2012, 06:13:00 pm »
So I'm starting to see what I got wrong on the exam from other students discussing answers about the questions on the 2012 exam...

Anyone else feel this way?

Can get a max. of 71/75 atm, but I have a feeling they are going to whittle me down with half marks for not providing a detailed enough answer or something :/

I don't know how the marking process works exactly, but can the people marking the paper give half-marks or not?

I'm predicting 50 without half-marks though.

Maximum of 62-63, I'm pretty sure that I dropped heaps of marks through small errors...

minimum = 65/75

i did some silly mistakes, but hey according to douchy the last question (well one of the last) about which compund is like the one that is lablelled 'Y' there was no real answer because the answer the examiners wanted was O2 (oxygen) but oxygen isnt a compound therefore.......THERE IS NO RIGHT ANSWER AND EVERYONE WILL GET A MARK!!!!

I know that's what would usually happen but is it confirmed that we get the mark?

That might be it but:

Definition of a Compound

It just says it has to have two or more atoms. Doesn't specify they have to be different.

That's not to say they won't give everybody the mark. Fingers crossed =D

It'll just be one of those questions were 5% of the state get it right and 95% get it wrong
