How hard is it getting into Melb Postgrad Science?

Hello everyone on the melbourne university website it says anybody with a gpa above 65 may apply.

it does not say weather this is like a clearly in or a minimum. has anybody here got any experience as to what is really required?

is a 80 above really closer to what is needed to get in?

That's the minimum required to be considered for Master of Science at UoM. This doesn't guarantee that you get in. My feeling is that if you get above 65 in BSc at UoM then you're likely to get into MSc, but this is just speculation on my part.

Yeah.  Minimum is 65.  65+ is pretty good and should make you pretty competitive.  A 80+ will absolutely guarantee you in.

Do you think they take into consideration your performance by subject? Placing a higher emphasis on subjects relating to the course? So Science subjects over Arts?
