And the subject is not repeated in semester 2?

Do they have exams during the holiday break that you do again or do you just have to do the subject in the next year?
Just wondering in case, but I think i've passed in everything though.

What is the weighting like on the exam?
Also, is the exam a hurdle, as in, does it have to be passed to pass the unit?

It depends. If you fail a unit, you generally retake the unit. There is no makeup exam for most subjects, but for one of my subjects this semester (MIIM20003) they did have a makeup exam for anyone who failed, and a pass in that second exam was taken as a score of 50% on the exam they failed.

I think some faculties offer supplementary exams if you got 46-50 (or something)

75% for one, 65% for another. I don't think it was a hurdle.

Generally:

1.  If the exam is a hurdle, and you get < 50% in the exam, you fail the whole subject, regardless of overall mark.
2.  If the exam isn't a hurdle, and you get < 50% in the exam, but you get >50 as an overall mark, congratulations you've passed the subject.
3.  If the exam isn't a hurdle, and you get < 50% in the exam and you get <50 as an overall mark, then you've failed the whole subject.

If the subject is only offered once a year and you failed, you'll have to do a different subject to make up for it if and only if the failed subject is not a pre-requisite for anything else.  Otherwise, wait until next year to repeat it.
