One semester away from like a perfect 7.0 (for med applications haha)!!!

Hate to be that person, but sem1 of 3rd year will count, so two more semesters :P

Wait so semester 2 of third year does not count at all?
How do GPA calculations follow the 1st 2nd and 3rd year weightings then? The first semester of third year is actually worth half our GPA? :S
2011: ATAR 99.50

I believe that is correct. First year 17%, second year 33% and first sem of 3rd year is 50% :)

I'm not sure.
Basically it depends whether they work out a "year" score or recognize that because you've only done half a year, your first semester would be overweighted and thus compensate for that (by averaging just the units).

Either way sem2 of 3rd year isn't counted if you apply for the following year.

Exchange doesn't count which is why I said this sem is doubly weighted for me

So is our mark (percentage) important; or is it basically just the Grade (H1, etc) that counts?

For GPA from what I hear it's just grade :)

Congrats on such amazing scores guys.
As a jaffy :P , i was wondering if there were some sort of statistics on grade distribution (individually or on average)? Do most kids get h1s or..?

Can't remember exactly but it varies from subject to subject and from year to year, but usually it's about 10-20% for the larger subjects?
