are the real ones much harder? i've heard they're slightly harder but not that much

The real UMAT is harder than the ACER ones, especially in sections 2 and 3 imo. ACER practice test 1 is much easier for all three sections, ACER practice test 2 has a section 1 similar to the real UMAT but is still easier for sections 2 and 3.

How much harder than the ACER ones in section 2 and 3?
Like how hard is S1, S2, S3 compared to (qualitiative, little bit, moderately bit harder etc.)
compared to the ACER exams and the early medentry and the later medentry exams?

Well, I honestly don't remember the MedEntry exams (and I didn't even do them all, so giving an opinion here wouldn't be right on my part)

But the real UMAT exam (personal opinion, everyone was different) when compared to the ACER prac exams:
Section 1: ACER1 = moderate, ACER2 = moderately hard, UMAT = moderately hard
Section 2: ACER1 = very easy, ACER2 = easy, UMAT = hard
Section 3: ACER1 = very easy, ACER2 = easy, UMAT = moderate

Note that I'm a person who always struggled with sections 1 and 2 (everyone struggles with section 2 to an extent anyway).

Is anybody finding the hardest questions to improve on to be Section 1 Problem Solving? No matter how many questions I do, I don't feel like I'm improving because my brain just feels bloody fried reading the question.

1. Is it even possible to do them within the time limit? (No joke, each problem solving question, aside from the really simple ones, will take me at least 2 minutes)
2. Are there any common tricks you can use for certain questions? (Such as tables, which work for some questions and not others, and flowcharts for those "Certain people lie on certain days")

I think what's bothering about problem solving is how to approach the question though, it takes a huge time for me to process information, let alone apply logic to solve it.

If it wasn't for problem solving my head would not hurt so much during a practise exam :/

I did Section 1 yesterday and even though I did not finish (about 4 left) I got 38/48 which is a reasonable score but not the best. I guess I concentrated on reading the questions but sacrificed time.

It would be great if someone could suggest some practice exams relevant to Section 2 since the actual UMAT is very different from medentry Section 2.

Thanks

Even though i'm sure you know your stuff, anyone saying this would be basing it on one experience (the actual UMAT they sat). So it's not entirely accurate either way. The UMAT will be what it is, this year it might be harder or easier than the ACER tests..Guess its just about getting as much practice as you can and luck on the day.

i have this problem except for pick the middle :'(

i think S1 you just have to try and comprehend the information and apply it. Naturally S1 is my best section so i haven't had to overcome the same problems, basically i just look at the question, apply the information and solve

I start to get better marks for section 1 because I get used to these sorts of question.  I believe you can improve a bit of section 1.

I found Section 1 relatively OK for improvement because once you learn a breakthrough technique, your score will shoot up massively.

1) Yes, it is possible to do them within the time limit if you work efficiently

2) Yes, there are common tricks, I always used a table.

For the "certain people lie on certain days" - hahaha, there's a very very easy way to do those, if you post one up, I'll be able to show you how to do it within less than a minute.
