Are we allowed to take our wallets into the exam room? I don't want to leave it in storage & I definitely need to bring it.

If it is in your pocket when you enter the exam room and stays there until you're outside, I can't see why it would be a problem.
Aspiring doctor. Why? For the same four reasons as everybody else. Chicks, money, power and chicks.

Just take it in and leave it on the floor

1.      a printout of your UMAT Admission Ticket (with required details completed on the bottom of the ticket); and
2.      appropriate original photo-bearing identification document (refer to the additional information about identification provided below); and
3.       pencils (medium soft 2B or HB) and eraser. A pencil sharpener is allowed.
Note: All other items with the exception of a bottle of drinking water are prohibited in the test room.

might be getting a bit pedantic here, but i dunno mate, i think it could be a no no !

I think we were allowed to leave valuables on the ground/below our chairs but phones/ipods etc had to be turned off. You could take your bags into the room as well - you just had to put it against the wall with everyone else's bags. Correct me if i'm wrong cos i may be confusing it with uni exams lol >.>
From memory they examiners in the room were pretty cool about everything, they weren't that strict provided you behaved and followed the instructions.
