GOOD LUCK!

So, tomorrow is the UMAT. You guys will all do amazingly and you're sure to come out of it feeling great.

How do I know?

Well, I know most of you guys here have been prep-ing like crazy, through the multitude of threads in the UMAT sub-forum and the 50+ PMs I have received over the last month; and from the standard of questions being asked here, a standard which is incredibly high and a tribute to your collective ability in the exam!

Just remember: the fact that you are on here now, stalking out the UMAT threads for last minute tips and prac questions, means that you are miles ahead of the majority of those sitting the exam. And those miles WILL translate to percentiles and whatnot tomorrow, because you guys know what to do and roughly what to expect.

My tips for tonight and tomorrow are simple: keep the prep to a minimum (in fact, stay away form the UMAT if you can!), don't do any exams and don't do any school homework, watch some TV or something. Get your ID, etc. ready and double/triple/quadruple-check the ACER UMAT handbook that you've got everything and that it all complies. After that, have a nice dinner and sleep early. On the day: get all your things and aim to get there at the time they say, no point getting there an hour early as you'll be surrounded by all these keen-beans and their even keener parents ;) No UMAT prep tomorrow either, don't make yourself stressed for no reason, a positive mood can do wonders tomorrow.

Once you're in the exam room, just do what you've been doing so far, and hopefully I see most of you at Monash MBBS next year :)

Good luck! :D

Remember to not see the UMAT as a massive and scary exam, but rather as a challenge where you want to give it the best you can and see how you measure up. Remember that you will always do your best when you are not completely relaxed, but not stressed either, so make sure you're pumped for it, get yourself in the mindset and take a well earned break tonight before the UMAT.

Morning session people - you have it easy, you won't have to spend so much time worrying about it! Afternoon session - do something relaxing in the morning, but don't tire yourself out!

Good luck everyone!

Thanks, VegemitePi! I've come to change my opinion regarding the UMAT. I don't see it as a monster I need to slay anymore. As a result of the countless hours preparing for this, I've grown to like the UMAT :/ Just going to go in there and give it my best shot - trying to get as many marks as I can. If I don't do so well, oh well, there's always BoS --> MD :P
Aspiring doctor. Why? For the same four reasons as everybody else. Chicks, money, power and chicks.

I would just like to thank all the guys that have helped us during the course of this year. Your responses to our constant pms have really really helped ease my doubts and fears regarding this exam. At the start of the year the UMAT appeared to be like a monster that would shape the course of my life and if I failed my pursuit for a career in medicine would over. Now I'm just happy knowing that if i do well, I will be in the company of some really cool people and if I don't, then there is no need to worry, as there are always other avenues to reach that goal!

Once again thanks a billion!

AND BEST of LUCK EVERYONE, I HOPE WE ALL FINISH THAT LAST SECTION 3 QUESTION WITH A SMILE ON OUR FACE :D
