Chemistry -Calorimetry

Hey guys, just some questions:

Why do you need to calibrate a calorimeter before use?

What are some sources of error when conducting a calor experiment?

Which method is more accurate: electrical calibration or hot/cold calibration

why do you have to indirectly determine enthalphy change of some experiments?

Thanks
