Physics 2008 Study Design

How different is the 2008 design from the new study design?
Does it make sense to do 2008 papers, when I'm runnning out of other papers?
Or are only parts the same? If yes, which parts?

thanks

The only difference I am aware of is that the Detailed Studies were not MC.

However, there are also other slight differences in Unit 3, but I am not aware of any in Unit 4, as of yet.

There's a few content differences here and there, most of them just being improving the clarity of the dot points. For the most part you'll find yourself being able to do most, if not all, of a pre-2008 physics exam.

From memory, the main unfamiliar question that I came across would be about those incoherent light sources (which is now in the photonics detailed study). For the majority of those light source questions, I found I was able to answer them though.

There's this document off vicphysics too, which lists the changes in a decent amount of detail that were made from 2008 to 2009:

If thats the only difference I'll do the exams from the old study design as well.
Doing short answer for the detailed study should help for MC. Probably even more than just doing the MC.
