Hey guys.

As stated in the title, I'm having trouble thinking of ideas to base a context piece on. I'm currently studying Spies by Michael Frayn at school, and have decided to focus on the theme of 'memories'. It would be nice if you could throw in some of your ideas and get a discussion going on :).

I'll start things off by throwing down what I've thought of so far:
- As human beings, we only remember what we want to remember. This means that experiences we've had in the past that we don't want to relive are forgotten, and those that are dear to us are remembered.
- As time goes on, our memory becomes weaker and harder to recall, potentially leading to misinterpretations of past events.

When I was doing Spies, I found it really beneficial having a search about Frayn's own actual childhood. I'm not going to do it for you (and no-one else should either!) because you'll learn best trying yourself, but the links between that and his novel Spies are very interesting and useful :)
