when i was reading through my notes. i find this statement " the direction of the magnetic field at a point is along the tangent to the field line" can someone pls explain wat that means pls.

That's literally what it means.

Draw a bar magnet and draw the field lines. Now, if you wanted to find the field at any particular point in space, you take the tangent of the field line at that particular point to get your direction.
