howcome when i solve this equation

it doesnt give me all the solutions?

the calc yieds x= 0.53,6.81 but when i draw the grahs i can see it intersects at x= 2.55, howcome the calc doesnt show that?

Hmm, I remember one question like this from the specialist book as well, the calc didn't give all the solutions no matter what I tried. I think the safest way is to just sketch it and use intersection to be sure you got all the solutions within the required domain.
PhD @ MIT (Economics).

I had the same problem. Is this from the review in the essentials text?
