Certificates?

I am doing a certificate through my place of work and have been told that this can add to my enter score. My VCE coordinator says this is better than a 10% of my 6th subject going towards my score because it adds 10% of my actual ATAR toward by my it for example  if i get an ATAR of 80 i would get 10% of that toward my score making it 91 or something, in comparison to just 10% of my study score for a subject

Is this correct?  Anyone else done something like this?

Hope this makes sense, sorry if its completely wrong

Thanks

I don't think that's correct. Usually, it takes 10% of the average of your top 4 and uses that as you 5th/6th subject in such schemes.
