Context work is essentially exploring a particular theme. It is arguably the philosophical side of English, if it can be phrased that way.

In a broader spectrum, which is unrelated to English, Context is similar to being asked  "Discuss what is the meaning of life?"
You are meant to have a framework of your essay centered on a larger/worldly/theoretical discussion. For example, using the above discussed, you'd be discussing what is essentially life, if it is fulfilling or alternatively if it is not fulfilling and then adopt particular text that you are studying which can include external sources to strengthen your proposition made.
About Philosophy

When I see a youth thus engaged,—the study appears to me to be in character, and becoming a man of liberal education, and him who neglects philosophy I regard as an inferior man, who will never aspire to anything great or noble. But if I see him continuing the study in later life, and not leaving off, I should like to beat him - Callicle

I think the OP meant that they want a sample of a Written Explanation or Statement of Intention.

Um, I'm not sure what you're looking for, but I've been told in the past to use FLAP+C formula.

F - Form (What form did you choose and why? Expository, creative, persuasive etc)
L - Language (What sort of language did you use? Formal, colloquial etc, and why?)
A - Audience (Who is your intended audience?)
P - Purpose (What are you trying to achieve through this piece? Why did you write it? Note: NOT to get an A+ on the exam! ;) )
+
C - Context (What is your context, how have you tackled it, etc)

And to refrain from having a boring ol' list, mention how each decision relates to the others. For example your target audience will influence the form, language you use etc, and your purpose will probably affect your audience.

Hope this helped!

Edit: oh, you wanted a sample.. sorry! Try the Examples Directory stickied on the English forum?
