question about sac marks and their impotance

Hi,

My literature teacher is a VCAA lit examiner. She has consistently told us that she is marking us intentionally harshly, and treats every one of our sacs as though it's exam grade. She says that she compares us to one another, and that our grades are not only based upon how the year level cohort does, but are also determined by where our peers fall and what not.

I know this question has been asked a lot in the science threads, but, how important/how much of a bearing do sac marks actually have on your final study score in english studies? Should I be worried moreso by the ranking, or the fact that it's not "A+" consistent and so on? I have to admit- I am stressed about our sac grades- though they are not bad, they're not necessarily A+ consistently either. I am currently first or second in my cohort- I forget- but what's concerning me is the grades of our cohort and the harshness of how she is marking.

Your rank in relation to your classmates is important, your actual raw score isn't.
