Difficulty is a matter of perception. The top Specialist students would find it boring to get top marks, whereas some people might really struggle.
Personally I'm confident I'll get higher than 43/60 on exam 2, purely because I do very well on short answer question and get sucked into picking false answers in multi-choice, so 33/40 seems slightly harder for me. In general I'd say not too hard.

Depending on your ability in maths but if you're really capable in maths (E.g You do Methods) then you should be alright imo. Keeping that in mind, it's mainly the silly mistakes that you would need to worry about since the course is rather simple once you understand it.. and as a result.. you need to minimise the mistakes you make since the mistakes are more costly in Further maths than in other subjects due to the fierce competition in Further maths.
