how do i make this sound like a part of my essay rather than a summary for the book macbeth!
The evil intention of the 3 witches gives Macbeth the impulse to commit the treasonous act. When he received the news of becoming king "that shalt be king hereafter" he is introduced to ideas of greatness a concept which hasn't crossed his mind before, therefore making him query the witches for more information to quench his curiosity for this new idea. Immediately after the witches hailed Macbeth as Thane of Cawdor and king, and then disappears Ross and Angus met with Macbeth and ban quo and hailed Macbeth "thane of Cawdor" refuting the doubts Macbeth had about the prophecies. Making him believe in the prophecies and hence influencing his decision to murder Duncan. The witches deceive him and give him a false sense of security in the apparitions "shall draw him on his confusion". The apparitions had an influence on Macbeth because of their ambiguous allure.
