this may sound imossible of getting a 40 but for my mid-year exam i got a low B.
im the top in my class (sharing 1st place with another person) in terms of SACS.
so my question is, what kind of mark do i have to get MINIMUM (e.g low A+) to get at least a 40 if it possible at all.
THNKS!  ;D

Just an educated guess but the max your looking toward would be 35-37. You'd have to get a high A+ or a perfect score in the end-year exam.

Hm not necessarily. My 35 in legal came from a B, A+, A. And I didn't get my marks but I'd guess at it being a mid A.

unlikely but you can get around 35 to 38
2011: Arabic [31] IT Applications [36]
2012: english[28] Chemistry[31] methods[39] Spesh [35] Biology:[42]

ATAR 2012: 92.90

2013-2016: BSc at UoM

May i possibly hijack this tread and ask about the highest possible score for about top 1/3 sac rank, B+ midyear (1/2 mark off being awarded an A)

2011: Biology [35 --->36]
2012 raw aims: english[30] Chemistry[35] methods[35] further [45] physics:[35]

I think it is technically possible for you to get a 40 assuming a very hard exam and a high A+ on SAC GA (so a strong cohort would help)

I know a guy who got an A and a B+ for his exams respectively and got a 37. So yeah, you stand a chance at getting a very  good score assuming you get a very good mark.

I know a guy with a B+ for both mid-year and end of year exams and an A+ in coursework who got a 38. If he had gotten an A+ in one of his exams, he certainly would have gotten over 40. (Biology).

I love how these ATAR predictions always begin by: "I know a guy.." :P
2012 ATAR: 52.50
