need help with vtac

The  vtac website states that Fri 28 Sep, 5:00pm: Timely course applications close. DOes it mean .. your 12 course preference due or all the other things are included...

You need to have submitted a VTAC course application (which refers to your course preferences, and also means that you've paid) by that date, yes. I wouldn't use the term 'due in' though, because that implies that your preferences have to be finalised. You'll still be able to make changes to your preferences.

The SEAS and scholarships form is due in at later dates (you should be familiar with these dates, or at least know where to find out those dates already).

edit: I should also mention that you'll still be able to to submit and pay after the 28th, except you'll have to pay the fairly crippling late fees (something like $80 or $90 instead of $26)

So say on Saturday, can we change our preferences? Or is it only during that time around when ATARs come out that we can change preferences?

Yep, you'll be able to change it then.

The only time you won't be able to change is between 26th October 5pm and 26th November 9am, and of course you can't change them after the 24th of December.
