Maybe you'd lose 2kg of muscle. It wouldn't be a healthy 2kg to lose, though.

Why would you lose 2kg of muscle by sitting still?

http://ds9a.nl/metabolism/

Just read up, what you said is definitely not true.

If you don't use it, you lose it. Do you expect a retired weightlifter to weigh just as much as he did during the peak of his career?

If you play soccer, it will be fun for one person: the one with the ball. :P

But everybody gets to take a turn at being that one. Unlike cricket.

Other way around. In cricket, you take turns. As soon as someone goes out or the bowler has enough overs, you change around.
In soccer, the game is controlled by ball hogs.

Unless you are the kind of player who runs away from the ball. (Me)  :P

...
There will be a few players who are extremely good and will never go out. The bowler will rotate, sure, and the people who have never bowled before will get belted. Most people will hate it.
It is incredibly hard to "ball hog" in soccer because the entire team can actually get involved and take it off you.

I play both and cricket is only fun with teams of people who are equally skilled. Soccer has a much lower skill barrier to entry.

I know exactly what I'm talking about. Fat weighs less than muscle. Have you ever seen the documentary "Super Size Me"?

But anyway, back on topic, cricket can be enjoyed by many. This isn't serious cricket with a huge pitch and oval and everything, this is just fun cricket. We can make rules such as tippity or force people to retire after they hit xx runs. We are playing with tennis balls, after all. It will be a laugh.

For the record, I am both a soccer and cricket fan. So I'm not being biased in any way :P

Soccer is more fun imo. More people are involved at any given time - people will feel part of the game. Whereas, in cricket, its really only the bowler, batsman, and a fielder that are involved at any given time. In soccer you have to be on guard all the time, whether you have the ball or not.

Soccer is also easier to learn as you play. Essentially, you just 'kick it forward' at a basic level. For people that are not familiar with cricket, the rules may seem a bit complex (e.g. runouts, lbw, etc.)
