Hey guys, I've got this question that I don't know how to answer.
It's towards the end of the novel when Holden is on his date with Sally. If you recall, she refers to both she and Holden as "children" when Holden suggests they
escape society for a log cabin.
The question is:
Apart from reinforcing his need to escape, consider how, in this incident, Holden is fearful of the negative opinions of people's parents and what this reflects about him. I don't really know why he asks Sally to go away with him in the first place. Not sure what I could say...
Any help would be deeply appreciated.
P.S. My teacher said the response she likes the best (everyone is doing different questions) will get a prize. Probably a chocolate or something. If I win, I will bring that chocolate to the next VN meet-up and distribute it. lmao.
