Year of Wonders topic

Hi guys just needed help with generating ideas for this essay question: How does Brook's create a sense of time and place in this novel.
This is a question from the 2011 English exam. I am generally not good at responding to a question that asks us how the author postions readers and thought this would be good practice.
Also I noticed that this prompt heavily matched the discussion question 8 at the end of the book pg 320, which made me wonder if the  prompt this year could also relate to one of the discussion questions? Any ideas appreciated.

Wow thanks, VivaTequila is really one of the elitist of the elitist in English. The ideas you came up with under pressure are amazing! When you first saw the prompt did you already have the ideas or did you have to really think to get them?

Nah I thought about it to get them. I hadn't dealt with a prompt anything like that (I'd dealt with similar metastructure prompts but nothing like that - to deal with elements of time and place - wth?)

It was just lucky that I prepared it properly, really.
