Dude I haven't revised 1-16 or done anything past animal biology properly, and I haven't gone to Physics all semester.

I'm thinking I'm pretty fucked on anything except protists.

Lol I would have been finishing the exam.

It found it easier than i had anticipated...Easier than last semester.

Section A was pretty straight forward apart from some of the genetic questions...I was relieved when we were told to cross out one of the genetic question on the exam and it was a really hard one!

Secontion B/C: The genetics component were the easiest this time. Struggled big time with naming the anatomy of the squid :(  And there was a question with pictures of fossils and we had to name them. A bit harsh since i'm pretty sure picture in her slides are not on the lms lecture slides..But i knew most of the fossil except the one where you don't know which side is up or down.. I put down some name related to hallucination..Don't know if that is right though.

Section D: pretty straight forward, the selection question caught me off guard a bit but at least it wasn't asking about specific class differences.

LOL i think you wasted a bit of time memorising all of the different class names!! So relieved hardly any questions required you to know much about classes.
:D :) ;D :D :) ;D :D :) ;D :D :) ;D :D :) ;D :D :) ;D

Man the fossils! I only knew one.. archaeopteryx.

Pretty much forgot about x inactivation, the angiosperms question was expected (but my fourth reaason was pretty crap), made up complete bs about the selection questions. Yeah I probably did waste a little bit of time, but I guess its bonus marks.

Did everyone pick up the error in Section B Q 4 with the 3 point test cross?

The heterozygote in the test cross was written as  (_,_,orange) when in fact it should have been (_,_,red) because looking at the offspring, none of the 2 phenotypes with 400+ had the phenotype (_,_,orange) but one did with (_,_,red). I couldn't believe they could make such an error. And I don't think everyone was told either as no announcement was made.

Why didn't we have to do question 34 in the multiple choice :S

It said that a brown male mated with a red male or something like that. Obviously two males can't mate and produce offspring and you needed to know the phenotype of each gender as it was a sex linkage question I think.

I was screwed over by this question as well and none of my friends seemed to notice the error. I think people just assumed it said red because it said that it was heterozygous. So I wasted minutes banging my head thinking *How the hell can the recessive gene be shown if it is heterozygous!!!*

Poor work by the people at biology, I didn't read question 34 but I'm guessing that was a screw up as well.

Different question. This was the linkage one where you had 3 different genes, one was for colour, and it was simply either red or orange. No epistasis/codominance, etc.

There was also a stuff up for chem too. I wonder if this is going to be the case for all exams.
