This is always really interesting because we can kinda glean which section the Extended Response will be in. 3 questions for Narrative totaling 24 marks and 3 for Social Values totaling 20 has me thinking it'll be either of those too, presumably the latter because it's usually the one with the greater average of marks. With 4 questions and 21 marks it probably won't be Media Influence, which I'm really thankful for (so dry!).

That being said, this is just a prediction and you can't take it for its word. Media Influence could have 3 questions worth 6 marks in total and then a 15 mark Extended Response. The best tactic is to learn all three sections to the utmost of your capabilities but if you are pressed for time, Narrative is your best bet to learn completely in depth, at a minimum.

It says "SAMPLE Number of questions and mark allocations may vary from the information indicated".
Best to just do your best and study all you can. Supposedly Media Influence had the most marks in previous exams but then again, we're in the new study design so who's the to.
I remember my teacher saying that this year all three sections are equally 20 marks each.

Yes but they rarely do. AFAIK it's been the same with the sample exam cover and the exam in terms of mark allocation for the last few years. But yeah, it's up to the individual to take it as they will. I've heard examiners say this is a pretty good guide though.

It changes every year. In 2009 Social Values held the most marks, in 2010 it was Media Influence and last year was Narrative.

I'm happy with it being in either Section A or B...
But would definitely prefer and hope for it being a nice compare and contrast in section A.
We can hope right?
