Hey guys, I just wish to say I'm incredibly sorry for coming across complacent and cocky if I did, as it was not intended. I know things happen in the real exams that are unplanned or unexpected so the nature of predicting study scores are difficult. But I would just like to say a few things.
1. I'll admit that I have not done a three hour exam before (have only done a two hour one), so I'm kind of daunted by the prospect of writing for three hours straight with a sore hand
, even as a reasonably good English student, this is uncharted waters for me. It's just that English is such an important subject, as I love analysing ideas and themes so it's a subject I put a lot of effort to and hopefully be rewarded. For a couple of English teachers at my school their median student score is above 4o, and one teacher even told me he has never had a student that got below 35.
2. I've legits put my heart and soul into teaching myself the conceptual framework of the 3/4 methods curriculum, so that I get a really good understanding rathner than rote-learning concepts. Obviously I can't predict what happens in exams as sometimes 'shit happens'
, but I've done a couple of practice exams with similar scores as per mentioned. I'll be a little crushed if I didn't get a really high score like 48.
3. For Spesh and Economics I do have a couple of grey areas in the 3/4 curriculum that I need to patch up on, before I get those scores per mentioned to be honest. I looked at some of the Spesh exam papers and got a minor heart attack from some of the questions they asked. It's just that I have to do really well in Economics because I CAN'T rely on Chemistry in my top 4, even though Chem is probably more related to my future expectations, plus I have a really deep interest in Economics so much I even started reading it in year 10
.
4. I'm really sorry for implying that scores 40 or above could be considered a 'worst outcome' I just didn't really know any other way to put it at the time, but lets just say 'not the most preferable outcome for me'. Yeah I know a score of 40 is by no means bad, and that most students would kill for one. I do not take a score like that for granted especially having already done a ¾ this year Revs where I would consider myself extremely fortunate and would be over the moon if I get a 42 (don’t think I can get any more than that). I’m even kinda prepared to get sub 30s in any of my subjects lol, and I’m actually super nervous for my results, I’m not actually confident at all (crying all the time about it
). I even think about repeating year 12 sometimes and all the subjects I didn't do well in. I just feel that that my future in weighing in the balance of those four subjects, as the MAXIMUM score I could get for my other two subjects Revs and Chemistry is 42. Revs 42 might actually happen hopefully, whereas a Chemistry 42 is more like a pipeline dream, but one can work hard and hope
.
Once again sorry to all I have offended in any way.
