Could i get a rough prediction for physics please?

Ranked 1st(out of 15) for both units 3/4

Exam=110-115 out of 150.

Probably 35-37 maybe?

Thank you :) Yeah... damn the chemistry paper :( And that was even my strongest subject... how weird. But in the end it'll be my 5th & sixth subject (bonus 10% increment) so I'm not too upset about not getting 45+ for Chemistry :) I'm more worried about English haha, looking for a 45+ :( Sounds far away.

I'm pretty confused with VCAA this year though, they made Specialist, Chemistry and Physics papers so easy, which will make a fuss in all the top high school as losing even one mark will result in a 47-49 SS easily (not mine hahaha, my school is around #300 I bet). Hopefully, next year's students will get a harder paper in those three subjects haha.
yeah i totally understand. But somehow I think the cutoffs will be a bit lower than we expect. Probably about 105/120, which is decent :) we'll get the study scores we want hopefully!

Thank you  :)
Makes me feel a bit better. Didn't finish 10 marker, had a couple of sentences to go. Was just counting up the possible amount of marks I lost...  :-\ just keeping my fingers crossed
**sigh**
you'll have done fine! and dont think about it now haha enjoy your holidays!

Methods:
Rank 2 in very strong cohort (99/100)
37/40, and 80/80.

What are my chances of a 49?

Pretty good chances :) I think you're worst case is 48 to be honest. You may also get a 50 with that

Does anybody know how to do these for VET subjects?
VET- Interactive digital media

GA 1:74/75
GA 2: 162/180

Im fairly sure I was rank 2, even though I would of strongly outperformed rank 1 in the exam. Does this mean my exam score gets passed on to rank 1 or am I totally misunderstanding?

This is really sketchy, since hardly anyone does Jap SL, so the normal distributions rules may not entirely apply

Sorry, Im not very good at predicting these, since I dont know how much each GA is worth. But in terms of the sac thing, on a simplistic level, what you said is correct, but that's not exactly what happens since the sac moderation curve isnt linear. What happens is that you keep your own exam mark, but your sacs change in accordance to the corresponding exam mark in the cohort. E.g. your rank 2 right? okay, say the second highest exam mark in the cohort is lower than your raw sac mark. Chances are, your sac marks will go down a little to sort of match the exam result. I hope that kind of makes sense.

I'd say approx 105; my friend dropped 9.5 marks out of 150 last year and got 49, and I think the exam was of similar difficulty to this year.
