alright so i gauging that ranking/sac scores has very small impact on your study score due to the weighting vs exam. so usually 1 mark on the exam lost is 1 study score?

Yep. I was ranked first, 100% SAC mark average, 4 marks lost, 4 study scores lost, 46.

nonetheless 120 = 60 lets assume, which correlates to roughly 43-45 study score , depends on ranking

I personally don't think that'll yield a 50 personally. Its a great mark, and surely itll scale to 50 or more. Not raw however. He may well get a 50 at the end of the year, but not with a 340/400. Thats 60 marks off full marks
