Aiming for 47-48 SS

Chemistry
Rank 1, U3 = 97, U4 = 98
Aiming for 43-44 SS

Physics
Rank 1, U3 = 90, U4 = 95
Aiming for 40-41

Methods
possibly ranked 3-4
sac average in 70s (hard sacs)
aiming for 38-40

English language
possible ranked 5-6
U3 = 82, U4 = 85

The ATAR cutoff last year was 332/400 so 83%, for your case (92% for oral and written exams) I would probably say that it's around 43-45

Ok thank you very much :)

So with high A+ sacs and a 93/100 on the oral, how low can the written exam be for a 40? Cheers

http://www.vcaa.vic.edu.au/Documents/statistics/2016/section3/vce_lote_french_ga16.pdf

The lowest A+ mark is around 83%, so getting a 40 could be a bit higher than that (85-86 ish), and the oral is about 25% of your GA3, so to get a 40 you'd probably need an 82-85% in the written exam.
It also depends on the year tho the actual mark might fluctuate from time to time.

Further Maths (doing it as a Year 11)
GA1 (SACS): Data Analysis: 100%, Financial: 90% (Whoops :-\), Matrices: 100%, Graphs and Relations: 99%
Averaged 97.8% (should be an A+ considering our school's scaling is pretty consistent – cutoff last year was 92/100)
Ranked about 5 – 8th out of 160 (a very large, but average cohort, however the students above me are very strong and should get A+ for their exams)
GA2 Prediction (Exam 1): Around a 38/40, if not, higher (worst case 36/40)
GA3 Prediction (Exam 2): Around a 56 – 58/60 (worst case 54/60)

Well, my hopes of 50 are probably destroyed for now, but how good do I have to do in the exam to get a study score of 45+?
By the way, I have gotten much better at financial over the months of despair... so hopefully, I can crack it in the exam!

your worst case score 36/40 + 54/60 would give you a 40.
If you only dropped 4 marks across both exams 38/40 and 58/60 it would be possible to get 46-47 however that would be reliant on 4 other people (generally ranks 1-4) getting a high A+ on the exams.

Well... At least I am not at total disaster then... ready for the challenge and the contest. And of course, the strong ones here all want to full mark it 40/40 and 60/60, but some people say that may involve a little bit of luck, I see their point... but skill is what counts for the most, and by the way... I may improve... so hopefully! Kudos to you! :)

Good morning!
I'd just like to ask if someone could give me a prediction for my scores (English):
Raw GAs:
GA1: 96/100
GA2: 100/100
GA3: 58/60 (our school did an official practice exam and our exams were marked by a retired VCAA assessor)
Would I have a chance of getting a 50? Our cohort's pretty decent with about 1-2 raw 50s every year.

i think a couple of years ago (2015) 57/60 was enough for a 50 and 58/60 is always a 50. If you rank is very high I'd think unit 3 would also scale to 100 so you should be fine.

Hi Guys,
My scores this year for English are
GA1: 74/100
GA2: 75/100
GA3: N/A
Just wondering what score do i need for my Exam to get a 35 study score? And does it matter if i got a really high A+ for my Oral SAC but an average score for my comparative when it comes to the moderation for my SAC score?
Thanks so much!

no not really, individual sac scores are not important ints the overall weighted average for each unit that is improtant :)

For a 35 I'd think you would be relatively safe with something like 40-42/60 although you'd hope your sacs get scaled up a little :)

Hey guys!!
A study score prediction would be awesome :) I have already posted this but I've updated it with new marks I've got back and I got some of the previous SAC marks I posted wrong.

English: (really want to get in the 40's!)
GA1: 33/40, and a low A+ (around 90% - can't remember exact mark)
GA2: 27/30, 38/40, + unknown
GA3: I don't know how English is marked. If it's out of 60 (3 20 mark essays), I would say ~53/60
Rank: somewhere between 3-10/85
Cohort strength: relatively high, we get multiple (around 3) Premier's Awards and multiple 50's every year

Chemistry:
GA1: 75%, 75%, 73.5%
GA2: unknown (sorry maybe assume its around 75-80%) & 84%
GA3: ~98/120
Rank: around middle (30), out of 60
Cohort strength: some very smart ones, some that are really bad, so pretty varied

Maths Methods: (want to get in the low 40's!)
GA1: 42/50, 40/57 (I know, I stuffed it up, I was so mad! :'(), + unknown (just did it today)
GA2: (Exam 1) ~35/40
GA3: (Exam 2) ~70/80
Rank: I was one of the top after my first SAC, now I'm around the middle (35) :'( out of around 70 students
Cohort strength: pretty strong!

Specialist Maths:
GA1: 38/50, 18/25, 12/25 (soooooo upset! :'( :'( :'()
GA2: (Exam 1) ~28/40
GA3: (Exam 2) ~60/80
Rank: around 15 out of 25
Cohort strength: top few are really smart, everyone underneath isn't too good
2016-17 (VCE): Biology, HHD, English, Methods, Specialist, Chemistry

2018-22: Bachelor of Biomedical Science @ Monash Uni

Hi I would just like to ask for some predictions (again), it's for bio this time.
What study score would I be expecting if I'm ranked 1 in an average to decent cohort with 5-10 40+ every year if I'm getting about 93-96% for my practice exams? (I did VCAA 2013-2016 so the exact mark changes because I omit the questions that's not in the study design).
Thank you :)
