Biomedicine or Science

I've been tossing up whether to list Biomedicine or science as my first preference.
While Science has more flexibility in that you can choose to do two majors, Biomedicine offers a rigid and intense course that will prepare you well for the MD. Which one do you think?

whats the chances of making it into the MD, Doctor of Dental Surgery, Optometry and Physiotherapy after you complete your undergraduate degree
2011: Methods [40]  Chemistry [34]
2012: Global Politics [44] Specialist Maths [33] Physics [35] English [38]
ATAR: 97.10

2013-2015: Bachelor of Biomedicine (Neuroscience)  UoM
2017-2020: Doctor of Optometry UoM

Just to clarify, you can't actually do two majors "officially" in Science, only unofficially (by which I mean you can do all the subjects for two, but you'll only be recognised for one).

Anyway, basically the decision, in my opinion, should just be based on how sure you are that you want to pursue the life sciences... If you also have interests in other things, like chemistry, psychology or engineering, definitely do science. If you're 100% on doing the MD, then probably Biomed would put you in better stead preparation wise (but no different in terms of likelihood to get in!).
VCE 2010-2011:
English | Philosophy | Latin | Chemistry | Physics | Methods | UMEP Philosophy
ATAR: 99.95

2012-2014: BSc (Chemistry/Philosophy) @ UniMelb

Currently taking students for summer chemistry and physics tutoring! PM for details.

I'd say do the one which you're more likely to do well in! If I were in your position, I would choose Science just because I know my strengths are Maths, IT, Physics...etc. rather than the life sciences. Thus, I'd choose Science just because I believe I am capable of getting a higher GPA.

Don't do a degree because you think you will get a higher GPA (difference is negligible anyway)

You can do IT or maths on Biomed

Make a choice depending on how interested you are in health sciences and whether you have other interests
